Based in Lincoln, we are creating our own small communitywithin a community. Excursions to the fire station, local park,schools and library will expose the children to the beautifullocations and services that Lincoln has to offer.

We strive in being sustainable and educating children on what they can do to protect their world! Cloth nappies and reusable wipes will be provided and used at the centre to reduce waste.

Parent Evenings and Social Events
Social whānau evenings for everyone to meet, connect and exchange stories.
Termly ‘car boot sales’ will be held in the carpark for parents to sell or giveaway pre-loved
toys, bedding, clothes etc
School Visits
With a lot of the children transitioning from preschool to a primary school in Lincoln, we would like to offer termly school visits with the children who will be going there to allow for a
smooth transition when they embark on their new journey.

Hours of Operation
7:00am-5:30pm. Closed for Public Holidays and Weekends.
Booking Policy
Minimum of 2 days per week, 6 hours per day.
Work and Income subsidy
Subsidies are available with eligibility depending on a) your income b) how many dependent
children you have. It’s easy to check their website out and see if you are eligible, and we can
help you do this!
Payment
Invoices will be sent out weekly. If there is an outstanding invoice for over three weeks, a 10%
penalty will be applied. If accounts become overdue we may involve a collection agency and
all incurred charges will be passed on to the parent/caregiver.
Forms of payment
For security reasons all fees must be paid by automatic payment/internet banking directly into
the preschool's bank account. Bank payment details are included on your child’s invoice.
Late Fee
If for any reason you are going to be late, please where possible, ring or text ahead to inform
the teaching team. A late fee of $10.00 per 10 minutes, or part thereof will be charged to any
family who has not collected their child/ren from the preschool by closing time or the end of
the child/ren’s normal session time.
Sibling Discount
If two or more siblings attend the centre, the older child(ren) will receive a 10% discount.
Nappies
Cloth nappies will be used at the centre. A disposable nappy will be put on your child to go
home in, unless you would like to bring in one of your cloth nappies for us to put on at the
end of the day.
Holidays
Holidays are very important times for families. Children can have a maximum of 2 weeks
holiday per year at no cost (of their regular weekly booking). Please email Emily 2 weeks prior
to the holiday occurring or full fees will apply. The Holiday year will be 1st March – 28th
February. If your child has more than 3 weeks of consecutive absence the Ministry of
Education will cease funding for your child. If your child is absent for more than 3 weeks a
holding fee may apply which will incur full fees plus the amount of lost funding. Please ring
Emily if you would like more information. As with most preschools, fees are required
regardless of statutory holidays or illness.
Emergency Closure
Situations may arise that lead to the emergency closure of the preschool. Some events, such
as loss of power or water, may lead to the Ministry of Education requiring us to close. On
rare occasions extreme weather conditions may also force us to close. In the event of such
an emergency closure it will be necessary for you to collect your child from preschool. Full
fees are payable for up to 2 days if the preschool is subject to emergency closure.
Enrolment Procedure
Parents who are interested in their child attending Learning Curves Montessori can come
and observe at any time. An enrolment form with the enrolment fee must be received before
a child can be placed on the waiting list or offered a placement. Please notify teachers of
what sessions you prefer. Parents will be contacted when a vacancy occurs and a time will be
made for the parents and child to meet the teaching team.
Application for enrolment
Together with your enrolment form, a $100.00 enrolment fee is required.
This will secure your child’s place and, $50.00 of this will be credited to your child’s account
after the first invoice has been paid. The balance is non-refundable.
We value referrals from existing clients and both the referring family and the new family will
receive a $100 .00 credit toward their account after the new family has attended for 1
month.
Notice of withdrawal
We require three weeks written notice of intention to withdraw your child to enable us to
offer your place to another child, or full fees will apply.
Transition Procedure
All children are different and we respect that you know your child better than anyone. We
therefore encourage that you talk to teachers regarding how you feel your child will settle.
We would like you to attend with your child at least four times before they start allowing
them to become familiar with staff, children and the environment.
